Nikki Ball AISTD-DDE
Nikki started dancing at the age of three, and at 17 gained a scholarship to train at Performers College, Essex. During her 3 years there she specialized in Ballet, Modern, Tap, Commercial, Jazz, Contemporary and Musical Theatre. She also gained her ISTD qualifications in both Tap and Modern Associates, both passed with Distinction. Whilst at Performers, Nikki had the opportunity to perform at many leading London venues including The London Palladium, Her Majesty’s Theatre and the Grosvenor hotel, park lane.
After graduating Nikki toured intensively as a professional dancer with Spirit of the Dance. Tours included Spirit of the Dance and Broadway show (Asia, Europe and UK). She was also resident dancer for Spirit of the Dance in America (Reno, Nevada & Branson, Missouri).
Nikki worked as a dancer/choreographer in many Corporate and commercial events and one of her highlights was Choreographing and dancing in the music video for the Wideboys hit (Bomb the Secret) in 2008.
Nikki has taught for the past 10 years as a freelance dance teacher and choreographer. She was the head of dance for the School Sport Partnership at Havant Academy for 5 years, dance teacher at Iris Barnes School of Dance, Stage Coach Theatre Arts School and the prestigious Italia Conti’s Arts School. During her 5 years at Italia Contis, She gained invaluable experience and that’s where her inspiration to one day open her own theatre school began. Passing on her knowledge and experiences to the younger generation continues to drive Nikki’s passion for teaching.
Nikki is now very proud to have fulfilled her ambition by opening Centre Stage Academy of Theatre Arts.
Sam is an actor and director, with a focused committed and passionate approach to the industry. Having previously worked for the BBC and Bournemouth Media School, he has performed in numerous shows at The Kings Theatre, Southsea and New Theatre Royal.
Sam has been gaining knowledge and professional experience over the past 6 years and his credits include, lead roles in theatre classics such as ‘Little Shop of Horrors’, ‘Bugsy Malone’ and ‘West Side Story’.
Away from Centre Stage Sam continues to further his acting career. He has recently directed several theatre productions and led drama workshops for KS3 and GCSE pupils. He is also an LSA at Purbrook Junior School, working with children aged 7 to 11 years. Sam is thrilled to be working with the pupils at Centre Stage.
Sarah started dancing at the age of 4 at the Palmerstone School of Dancing and the later went on to study Musical Theatre at the Academy of Live and Recorded Arts, London. Her professional career started from there as a dancer for American Football and Premier Football, Sky Sports.
Sarah has been working in the entertainment industry for 20 years. In her earlier career she was a successful principal vocalist in theatre, cruise ships and holiday centres. Her pantomime credits include playing Cinderella, Snow White, Aladdin, Beauty and Alice in Jim Davidson’s production of Dick Whittington. She later joined Bourne Leisure at Butlins, Bognor Regis where she gained experience in directing and producing and working with top chorographers. Sarah’s career then went on to directing, producing and choreographing her own various cabarets for corporate work with Swing/Sinatra and Moulin Rouge shows. Choreography includes Parkdean, Park Holidays, Warner’s and various holiday centres across the country. Shows included Rock, Pop, Christmas and Character Shows.
Sarah still performs with Her Majesty’s Grenadier Guards Big Band for corporate work and is still currently doing choreography for the successful group “The Octaves” A 4 part Vocal Harmony Group.
Sarah enjoys teaching her little cherubs (even the noisy ones) and passing on her knowledge and experience.
